3D Scanning on IG
I am a true believer in democratizing 3D creation and these concept visualizations are a testament to that.
These visualizations show what an end to end flow from capture through customization to consumption in feed if IG had a “3D Scan” functionality in camera. I believe photogrammetry could be a key way to speed up creation whether it be for making content or for selling products and could empower users to be AR creators.
In creating these mocks I used multiple photogrammetry apps and became familiarized with not only the scanning process itself but also the modeling optimization processes of these high poly meshes so they could be utilized to render and run in prod efficiently as possible.
